J.M. Petrick is a writer and artist based in Los Angeles.

For nearly two decades he created street art under the name Morley, where his work appeared across the urban landscape as well as in galleries worldwide, television, film, and print. He has lectured at LACMA, universities throughout the United States, and his projects have been featured in national campaigns for brands such as Toyota and Smirnoff.

Petrick is the author of If You’re Reading This, There’s Still Time and Let’s Burn This Moment Down to the Filter, both published by Abrams Books. His creative practice has also extended into long-standing collaborations with musicians and bands, producing album artwork, tour posters, merchandise, and music videos.

Alongside his visual and literary work, Petrick has developed a parallel career in screenwriting, where his scripts have been repeatedly recognized by major industry competitions, including the Nicholl Fellowship, Final Draft’s Big Break, ScreenCraft, and Outstanding Screenplays.

In 2025, his debut novel, Dead Flowers, was released to critical acclaim. He is currently writing its follow-up.
